Privacy Policy

As a sole trader, trust between myself and my customers is everything. This policy outlines what, how and why your data is collected and used.

This policy was last updated on 10th January 2023.

Data Collection

As little personal data as possible is collected to allow communication and provide you with the services offered. This data is typically:

  • Your Name.

  • Your Email Address.

  • Your Telephone Number.

  • Your address.

If you choose to pay for services with a card, your card details are transmitted to a payment provider to facilitate payment.

This data is collected in two ways:

  • Data you submit via the contact form on this website.

  • Data you provide in person, on the telephone, by text message or email.

Data Processing

Your personal data is used for three purposes:

  • To communicate with you directly.

  • To raise an invoice.

  • To process payments made with a debit/credit card.

Your data is not and will never be sold by Derbyshire Tech Help to anyone, ever.

Some data is shared with third parties for invoicing & payment:

  • The invoicing platform Invoicely to raise invoices.

  • The payment provider Zettle to process debit/credit card payments.

Accessing your data

It is your right to request a copy of all data held about you. You also have the right to request the data held to be erased:

  • Should you request a copy of any data held about you, it will be provided as soon as possible after the request has been received and no later than 30 days after.

  • Should you request that data held about you is deleted, it will be carried out as soon as possible after the request and no later than 30 days after.

Some data is not erased as part of a request. HM Revenue and Customs in the United Kingdom require that a minimum of five years of records after the 31st January submission deadline of the relevant tax year are stored. This means copies of any invoices issued within that period are retained. Invoices include your name & address. Invoices issued prior to the 6th April 2019 may also include your email address. Even if you did not request or require one at the time of billing, an invoice is raised internally for every payment received for accounting purposes.
